Reflection of the writing and editing process

Reflecting on the past nine weeks, I have learnt how to compose good summary, reader response and reflective essay. In fact, I learned quite a lot especially in the summary part. When I was in secondary school, how I wrote my summary was just copy and paste and almost 80 percent of information from the article were exactly extracted. However, I now have more idea to write a good summary after knowing the body structure of a summary and some writing skills. By providing details and statistical evidences, my thesis statement become more clearer. Besides, I also realized that thesis statement is very important as it tells readers what to expect from the rest of the paper. 

On the other hand, I think I need to work harder in the reader response and problem solution essay. Both reader response and problem solution essay are quite challenging as we need to provide our own opinions and solutions. To be honest, I am still very poor at these parts. Perhaps I need to read more articles in order to broaden my knowledge and vocabulary so that I will have more idea or solution to talk about. Besides, I also hope that we will have more practice on either reader response or problem solution essay parts from week 10 to week 12. Furthermore, I think I have imposed on content and structure parts in the past few weeks. Now, I have a clearer idea to write an essay. I am also able to identify the topic sentence and figure out the main point to argue with. However, my language part is still the worst part as compare to content and structure parts. In fact, I am also poor at sentences structure, tenses and grammar which is very important in an essay. Thus, I also like to learn more in the language parts.

I prefers both visual and audio feedback. Audio feedback increases my understanding but somehow it doesn't work. I could not catch teacher's point at all. However, I mostly understood the comment but did not have the confident to make the correct correction. In overall, both visual and audio feedback are good. Besides, it is also a good way to get feedback as it save time and effort. In my opinion, it would help if I had audio and written feedback in my other modules. However, it does not work at all because it really depends on what the modules are. For example, modules such Mathematics or Physics will not have the same effect as we used it in English modules. It was because mathematical explanation could be even more complicated and tutor may take several emails to clarify.
